Hatha Yoga Teacher at Yoga Minds Amstelveen. English and Chinese.
I had to go through many oriental traditional books to prepare my master essay during my school life. At that time I got to know the Yoga philosophy first time, the theory seems quite mysterious and idealistic, especially meditation and pranayama. It eventually led me to the asana practices in the early years, however it's pity that at that time practicing Yoga actually is more like another kind of athletic, same as fitness, aerobics.
Until when I came to Yoga Minds, I was impressed by the concept of Yoga here. It combines the physical, mental and spiritual practice, and I immediately knew that this is the Yoga I had been dreaming for.
After the WYA teacher training, I have deep interest toward continuous philosophical education from various traditional disciplines, with guidance of my teachers, I am still learning Sutra, Rig Veda, Upanishad… I understood that I still have a long way to go to broaden and deepen my understanding on Yoga, and I hope that one day, I could apply the ancient wisdom to our contemporary world in a useful and understandable way.
I will always be a student of the practice and I am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me. I hope yoga will be a part of my life, both on and off the mat.
let’s enjoy doing – knowing – being together.
