Hatha - and Vinyasa Yoga Teacher at Yoga Minds in Amstelveen.

My journey.

What began as classes on a mat has become something I carry with me everywhere. The asanas became my teachers, they showed me how easily I could get caught in striving for perfection, believing a pose had to look a certain way, how I hold my breath when things feel difficult, how I compare myself to others, and how quickly my mind wants to be somewhere else. From those simple observations, deeper lessons unfolded.

In time I learned the real practice was not in performing the posture, but in experiencing what it revealed for me. How to breathe through challenges, how to meet my inner critic with kindness, how to trust the pace of my own growth, and how to simply be without chasing what should be different.

Yoga is a path I stepped onto that keeps branching out as I walk along, constantly revealing new parts of myself and the way I meet the world around me. The more I learn, the more curious I become to keep discovering. It is a path of self-inquiry, healing, and growth, teaching me patience, presence, compassion, and the courage to soften.

Yoga as exploration.

For me, yoga is self-exploration – an adventure without end. Some days it feels light and playful, other days it brings you face to face with deeper, more vulnerable parts of yourself. Both are welcome, because growth doesn’t come from avoiding what we find, but from gently exploring and embracing it.

.

In this way, yoga practice may become a mirror for life itself: a reminder that we can meet every moment – whether joyful, painful, or quiet – with openness and curiosity. And if we can welcome ourselves fully on the mat, who knows how that might change the way we welcome life beyond it?

What I would love to share with you.

In my classes I aim to create a safe and encouraging space for this exploration. Clear guidance, options, and variations to allow each student to practice in a way that feels authentic to them. My teaching is not about achieving perfect shapes, but about creating awareness – listening to your body, observing your breath, and noticing what unfolds.

My hope is that every class offers you space to be yourself, to explore with curiosity, and to discover how yoga can support and inspire you far beyond the mat
