Self-(re)discovery training in Amstelveen.
At some point in life, many of us feel stuck. We have a sense that something isn’t quite right or that we’re not fully ourselves, but it’s hard to pinpoint what needs to change—or how to begin.
Life is busy, and between work, family, and daily responsibilities, it’s easy to lose sight of who we are beneath all the roles we play. This course was born from my own experience of feeling like I was ready for something more, but wasn’t sure how to move forward.
I’ve always loved how yoga and coaching complement each other—both offer powerful tools for self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-determination. Yoga helps us reconnect physically and mentally, while coaching provides a structured way to explore what we truly want and how to make it happen.
Reconnect & reflect: a yoga & coaching course
Over five small-group sessions, we’ll use asana, meditation, and breathwork as a foundation for self-inquiry. Through guided exercises and group discussions, we’ll reflect on what’s most important to us, explore areas of change, and start shaping a path forward. This isn’t just about career choices—it’s about prioritizing yourself, your needs, and your desires in a way that feels right for you.
Just as important as the personal journey is the sense of community. This will be a safe and supportive space where we can share experiences, encourage each other, and grow together.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to invite you to join me. Take this time for yourself—to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Session 1: Where are you now?
Before we can explore our potential future, it’s good to know where we are right now. For our first session we will focus on being present.
We’ll begin using breath work and somatic yoga practice to relax and connect to our physical body, then we will use some coaching practices to start exploring what is happening in our lives right now, what we are content with and what we would like to change.
We will also spend time getting to know each other and hopefully beginning to build a sense of community with each other.
Session 2: Where have you come from?
Any regular yoga practitioner will know the effect patterns and habits have on our lives, and if we want to make changes for ourselves, being aware of those patterns is a really useful place to start.
For this session, we will begin with some yin yoga to start developing our introspection, as well as some calming and centering pranayama exercises.
The coaching practices we will use will help us look further at the different thought patterns we have that shape our ideas and behaviours, which ones might be holding us back, and what we can do to start reducing their impact on us.
We'll work together, and support each other in this exploration, and take time to keep building our community.
Session 3: Where do you want to go?
Sometimes we have a sense of what we want, but it can be hard to form a clear idea of the path we need to get there.
This session will focus on exploring what we love and value, what we’re good at, what we might want to develop and how.
We will begin with some vinyasa yoga (not advanced!), to fire us up, and we will continue with a fun and creative coaching exercise to really dive into your strengths and passions.
This session will hopefully help to bring together what is important to you and start to create a vision, and some motivation, for what might come next.
Session 4: What are your obstacles?
It’s very common to get excited about a plan, and then find yourself getting stuck, procrastinating and feeling a bit lost on how to move forward.
This is a very normal, human reaction to change, and we all experience it. By looking more closely at what’s stopping us, we can examine our own obstacles and find ways to move around them.
We will begin with some gentle yoga practice to relax our minds and bodies so we feel ready to look at some of our difficulties.
We will then use a coaching exercise that helps us to be honest and creative about things that hold us back. We will look at ways to commit to our intentions and find some energy to keep moving forwards.
Session 5: What’s next?
For our final session, we will draw things to a close with some energy and a focus on what is possible. We’ll reflect on the work you’ve done up to this point and think about how to use this deeper level of self-exploration.
We'll begin with some light asana practice to build a little energy, and then we will work in pairs or small groups building up an image of the change we want for ourselves, whatever that may be.
This will be another moment for some creativity, and we will draw together the thoughts and explorations we’ve been making throughout the course.
