More then 15 years yoga has been a part of my life. I started my practice - 15 year ago - when Yoga styles were not yet a big thing. I tried any class that came onto my path and seemed interesting; Hatha, Vinyasa, Asthanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yin, Restorative and more. Yoga was always Yoga for me. Whatever the name, I enjoy(ed) all.
Still I practice various forms of Yoga daily. I do not want to get attached to one form of movement. All Yoga is good for me. Just not with beer, under water or goats.
I have always tried to find the right balance between active and passive Yoga forms. It was because of that urge how Yin Yoga came into my practice: getting out of my Yang lifestyle, into a stress releasing moment of the day. ‘Letting go’ became my mantra. Being a perfectionist, I cannot control everything that happens, although often I would like that. So then I step onto my mat and sigh out: “ aaaaah, let go …. “.
